Nipper passed away today in
my arms March 18, 2008 at 1:30pm after suffering arthritis for some time and
then a stroke. She was the best dog I have ever known. She was very loyal and
sweet to everyone she would meet. Everyone will remember her tail wagging and
hitting everything like a drum, or the bark at the door to say hello, and never
being able to wear black or you'd leave with white hair along! We will miss her
soft fur that shed all over our house, but now we miss it. She will be missed by
so many hearts she touched. Nipper could leap like a deer when she was a younger
dog, as if she had spring in her legs. Now she will be in heaven with springs
back in her legs greeting all of her doggie friends who have gone before her.
She will have angel wings and will be our guardian angel forever

Just this side
of heaven is a place called
Rainbow
Bridge .
When an animal dies
that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to
Rainbow
Bridge . There are meadows and hills for
all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of
food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All
the animals that had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those
who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember
them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content,
except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had
to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes
when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent.
His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over
the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been
spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together
in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your
face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the
trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from
your heart.
Then you cross
Rainbow
Bridge together....

IN OUR HEARTS
We thought of you with love today.
But that is
nothing new.
We thought about you yesterday.
And days before that too.
We think of you in silence.
We often speak your
name.
Now all we have is memories.
And your
picture in a frame.
Your memory is our keepsake.
With which we'll never
part.
God has you in his keeping.
We have you
in our heart.
