AAS EDUCATION PROGRAM
Through our therapy program, we reach many elderly or disabled people that would otherwise not have any interaction with pets. To see the faces on the patients light up when we walk through the door is worth it. Our therapy dogs are trained and certified as "Registered Therapy Dogs". If we are at an event that our adoptable Dalmatians can not attend, we always have one of our therapy dogs on hand. Our dogs enjoy the interaction with people as much as the people do with them. They are a good representation of the breed and can often put to rest all the misconceptions of the breed. We visit Norfolk Sentara Hospital and varies nursing homes in the area. Just an added note: all of our Therapy Dogs are rescues.
We are funded strictly by donations. Our hard work and dedication is paying off and it can be seen on our adopted page. Our program is a much needed service in the community. The more money we raise, the more Dalmatians we can save. We are a 501c3 Organization. Your donations are tax deductible!!!
